If you consider using this scheme you must have a very big pocket book and amazing fortitude to walk away when you achieve a small win. For the benefit of this story, a sample buy in of $2,000 is used.
The Horn Bet numbers are not always looked at as the "successful way to compete" and the horn bet itself carries a casino advantage of over 12 %.
All you are playing is $5 on the pass line and ONE number from the horn. It does not matter whether it’s a "craps" or "yo" as long as you wager it constantly. The Yo is more prominent with people using this system for clear reasons.
Buy in for $2,000 when you sit down at the table but only put $5.00 on the passline and one dollar on either the two, three, 11, or 12. If it wins, beautiful, if it loses press to $2. If it does not win again, press to $4 and continue on to eight dollars, then to $16 and following that add a $1.00 each time. Every time you don’t win, bet the last bet plus another dollar.
Using this system, if for example after 15 tosses, the number you wagered on (11) hasn’t been thrown, you really should march away. However, this is what possibly could happen.
On the tenth toss, you have a sum total of one hundred and twenty six dollars on the table and the YO finally hits, you earn three hundred and fifteen dollars with a gain of one hundred and eighty nine dollars. Now is a good time to march away as it’s higher than what you joined the table with.
If the YO does not hit until the twentieth toss, you will have a complete bet of $391 and seeing as current action is at $31, you come away with $465 with your take being $74.
As you can see, adopting this system with only a one dollar "press," your profit margin becomes smaller the more you bet on without hitting. That is why you have to go away after a win or you must wager a "full press" once more and then advance on with the $1.00 boost with each hand.
